In the process of trying to remove the front coils, I tore the grease cups on the lower ball joints and tie rod ends. Do I have to replace the whole thing or can I buy just the cups themselves? If so , where do I get them? Thanks

You can get the cups in rubber or poly, however, the ball joints and tie rod ends are really not that expensive (AutoZone) and might need to be replaced anyways. You will have to get the front aligned (better all four wheels) if you replace the tie rod ends. If you cut coils or install lowering springs you'll need an alignment anyways.... now the next thing: I would not pay for an alignment before the rear susp. is in good shape... it's the 'while you're at it' syndrome......

Unless you know when the ball joints were last replaced (if they've ever been replaced), I'd go ahead and change them now. Might as well. Otherwise just get the replacement boots (I'd go with poly) and don't worry about it.

Batman, the ball joints are 6 years old, but I haven't put 300 miles on them since they were installed- same with the tie rod ends. Who sells the poly cups? Do I just go to Auto Zone with the old ones to compare, or do they know what I need (old ones pretty tore up)?

Ecklers has diagrams for you to view before buying. The poly tie rod ends you want are $5.00 each. Item# 22769

The poly ball joint are $7.99 a set. Item# 37660.

There, I did a good deed for the day. Enjoy.

Got my tie rod ends from VB&P in the performance plus package, but the rubber cups were packaged seperately within the kit, so i assume you can get them there also.
