HELP! Emergency / Parking Brake Problem
Just bought back my old 79 L82 4speed which now has 15,000 miles.
Problem is the release button on the parking brake popped out and so did the spring.
Hey I've been a C-4 guy for so long I forget some of the basics.
How does one repair or replace to fix this?
Does the entire handle and or assembly need to be replaced, or can you get the spring and button back in, and will they stay in?

If it's like a 67-68-69 handle, and I assume it is, they're actually pretty hard to take apart. I've done several, with the brake out of the car.
I assume something broke. The button shouldn't have popped out unless something is broken on the end. Chuck
