well, rolled the vette out tonight and started the degreasing after pulling the front clip. Purple stuff and pressure washer does a great job.
Backed it back in the garage and got it up on jacks, 6 ton units from HF are going to work out great.
Crawled under there and started doing a little inventory. Here is some of what I found, Bubba has been here.
Here is why my drivers wheel leans in so bad, its from clipping the palm tree. This lower control arm shaft is bent

Here is a little bubba, splices and clamps and ty-wraps on the fuel lines, and Yes it really is that close to the spring..

This is the air pump line to the cat, more bubba

This was my favorite, I found this connector nicely tied up on the harness and said "Hmmm, wonder where that is supposed to go?"

then I found out, it is supposed to be plugged into the tranny, bet thats why it got hot on the hiway and the milage sucked, no lockup.

OK, so here is a question: What is this piece supposed to look like? I figure the verticle plate is supposed to be verticle and flat, what about the part on the back? Does it have a purpose?

Your tow hook/front frame extention/air dam support is a little bent from -most likely- hitting a speed bump. It's supposed to go somewhat straight down.

LOL, I got that much figured out!
The lower part is what I don't know about, might have to wait til I get some of the new stuff reassembaled to figure it out

Dwncchs, was not all that hard to get loose. The drivers side was toast anyway, so I chiseled it off and used what I found under there to get the pass side off. prying gently and some patience got the pass side off, you can get to most of the seam from the bottom. Got to wonder how much of the old body glue I got to grind off for the new installs. I figure on the new install there will be a proximity switch of some kind to deal with parking blocks.
While I was fartin around, I noticed the door gap at the front was close on the drivers side and wide on the pass side. So, going bak in will bw fun

the lower part is a tow hook, the strap on it is for the air dam.
