I am considering selling a 427/390 Corvette motor. All correct numbers except for one exhaust manifold, carburetor and altrnator. Motor was at one point rebuilt, bored 30 over and had domed pistons installed rather than the flat tops that, I think, should have been. Motor carries numbers indicating early Oct.1969 build date. Motor was running fine prior to removal and is in excellent condition, ( mechanics certification to same is available). Motor is presently partially dismantled. I am considering selling just the built up block, heads and/or complete package.
Can any one help me establish the market value for this and advise as to the best ways to sell same.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Ratpack,
It shold be worth at least $100.00 dollars and the best way to sell it is just to let me know where I can pick it up. :yesnod:
seriously, I have been looking for a "correct" 427 to replace the 454 in my 69. I believe the date is a little late to be exactly right for my early build car but if the price is right???

Re: 1969 BB Value (Dwaynes69BB)
I just re-read your post, for a moment I thought you said oct. 68 casting. What is the casting number on the block?
Would you consider selling as shortblock?
