Holley carb question
The holes on the top of the metering blocks, is there a reason why the middle 2 on the secondary side are so much deeper than the others?

the reduced area in the metering block by having the plugs lower would most likely make the secondary boosters more active, but that is more a question that Doug S. from Barry Grant could give a the correct answer to.

The depth of the main well cup plugs can vary from block to block depending on how they are designed. Since the idle well (outside cup plug) has a cross over in the metering face of the meting block (in a 2 circuit metering block) sinking that plug deeper would interfere with the crossover. The center plugs (Main fuel wells) are usually set deeper so that there is not additional room above the main-well outlet of the metering block to the boosters.
