Smoking...
So I'm on the highway doing about 75 mph, and a truckers pull up behind me and i notice, from the glare of his headlights, my cars has smoke pouring from behind it, im stuck on the highway with no phone or money, just a speed pass for Mobil, so i drive 10 miles get off at an exit, and smoke pouring from my transmission i believe, did smell like it though, and there is transmission oil dripping from my car at a study pace.
Well its 12:00am and the Mobil inside store is closed, so i have to drive the car to another one, there closed too!, found another one few miles done the road, and there closed to, so i drive 8 miles towards home, i find one open, and its 6.00 for tranny oil, so i put a quart in, and check it, it seems fine.
I also check my cars oil, its 2 quarts low, i burned 2 quarts in one day!
So i ended up spending 38 bucks for 2 quarts of oil, and a quart of transmission oil.
I hope i didn't damage anything by driving it so long like that.
I Just got home a few Min's ago, and i hope there is nothing majorly wrong with my car.
Sorry im not the greatest at writting, but im having a bad night, the cars been off the road for 2 months to fix the birdcage, and i finaly get it on the road again and i have problems like this.
2 weeks after tearing out my interior and laying down reflectix and fixing the tach circuit board, that was my winter projects, I popped 1st gear. July was to dang hot to work in the garage and I just today finished pulling the Tranny out. Not I have to find a place to rebuilt it.
It can be a bit dishearting to see the ole girl up on jackstands while others are on the road.
On the bright side, soon we will be all be driving again.
Fortunatly you were not stranded in the middle of nowhere and she still runs.
Hopefully just a leaky pan tossing fluid in the exhaust pipes.
Good Luck
You need to clean it up first and then observe. If if leaves a puddle after 15 minutes, it should be pretty easy to spot.
