Shift kit

Good luck !!
I think the best thing I did was get a stiff piece of cardboard (maybe 3' or 4' square), cut a 6" or so hole in the center, place it on top of my drip pan, and push the center down a little so that anything that came down, fluid & parts, wouldn't go bouncing off in every direction. It worked pretty well.
If you don't have a drain plug, you've probably read about loosening the drain pan bolts a little, then starting on one side and work your way around loosening them so that one side drops first. That's about the best you can do to narrow down the flow & the mess.
MAKE SURE THE FLUID ISN'T HOT!
Ditto on the Adjustable Vacuum Modulator suggestion and the pan bolt. Just be careful where you put it. I was an idiot and didn't put mine in the proper spot, had interference problems with the valve body, and had to have the hole plugged up
Take your time, read & re-read the directions.
Hope some of this helps. Good Luck!
