Where can I find the casting numbers for my block? The title says `75, the front and rear clip are from a 80-82 and the carb is a 17080204....so at this point I haven't got a clue what's under the hood.

I don't think it's a 305 as I had one in a `77 Camaro and it feels a bit more powerful....but I won't know for sure until I see the numbers.

There's a ledge on the back of the block where the tranny bolts up. The casting number is on this ledge on the driver's side. It should be 7 - 8 numbers. Post it and we'll see what we can find out. HTH

Ok..I found the numbers on the R front and it's V0107CHB so it looks like it is a `75 L48.

Go to www.mortec.com for casting info. The casting #'s on the back of the block will give more info.
