speedo question
ok, since I'll wait till I move before I pull the motor out, maybe someone can help me figure out what's with my speedo. One time I was cruising and the needle just dropped. I continued to drive and it will suddenly jump and when the car slows down to a stop, it will instantly drop down when it gets to 20 mph. I had it checked when i had the car in a Corvette shop to change all bushings and they told that they couldn't find anything wrong. (which I doubt they checked because something's gotta be wrong)

Sounds like the cable just needs some lubrication...it would need to be removed and lubed...wheel bearing grease is supposed to be fine. If they checked it then they should have lubed it since they would have had to remove it from the ends to look at it. Greasing it usually works for a speedo that is fluxuating, but if it's just dropping dead then it might be time for a new one.
