All I can tell ya is a mechanic will charge you about 5 hours of labor to do it.

BTW it's summer, why are you using the heater when it's 90+ degrees out?

Hey, I have an 80 Vette that will have the motor out next week while installing a new crate motor. I think I will replace my heater core as it is still the original. Yes, we are having 90+ degree weather but anyone would know that you dont wait until you have a floor covered in anti freeze before you replace a 27 year old core! It is just smart thinking. Its like cutting your fire wood at the beginning of summer and not waiting for 2 feet of snow in the dead of winter and sub freezing weather!
I plan to replace mine myself as I will have almost noithing in the way.

peace brother!

you'll have stuff in the way because it has to come out from the interior..

walter, try it yourself - no special tools - just time..

Default Try it!

I agree with others above. Labor rates will kill you on this one. Take it slow, follow the instructions found on the forum and you'll be done in no time.
