Default which adjustable vacuum can?

I have a MSD-8572 distributor with vacuum advance. I need to replace the vacuum can with an adjustable one. Which adjustable vacuum can is the best and will fit this distributor?

The adjustable cans are not worth it. They do not work very well. Set it up with the correct can and use it. I had the Crane adjustable unit and ditched it after about a week. I setup with the correct can and it works much better.

I'm just adding a new Summit dizzy with vac advance. Does this hook into a ported vac (base of carb) or manifold vac?

Try manifold first that should work the best.

I installed a Crane also and thought I would have to do the same.It had 35* degrees in it and only the vacumn was adjustable-I had to solder in a stop to limit it to 12* for my application.I saw one in Summit that is their brand that says it is adjustable for both vacumn and limit of advance.

I have an adjustable vac can out in the garage that I am not using. I believe I can dig the springs and allen wrench out that go with it if you would like. $10 plus shipping. PM me if you are intersted.

Eddie, Thank you for the offer... This would of been super but I went and ordered one from summit before your post.
The way it sounds from the other posts, I'll be ditching it and picking up a fixed correct one anyway. The adjustable one sounds like a good concept...but not if it doesn't work well.
