Default Carburetor question

I'm in the process of rebuilding my 4bbl quadrajet, and after separating all three pieces, a bearing fell out of the float system somewhere. I have no idea what this bearing is, or where it exactly came from, and I was counting on one of you who have possibly rebuild their carb?

the ball is most likely the pump check ball that goes under the screw between the needle & seat and the accelerator pump in the fuel bowl

There is a check ball under the accelerator pump on some of the Rochester carbs. Looks like a BB. Fits in the little hole under the pump and spring. Think it is a check ball. Others will chime in. Just rebuilt my 3 Rochester 2 bbls for my tripower. The 1970 carbs didn,t have this. The 1971 carb did.
