I am trying to take apart the car and I have a couple of questions.
1. What covers the back of the door jam where the screws fasten the interior panel on?
2. How does the t-top panel come off? I removed the screws on the front and back but it hanging on. Is there something else?
Are they body colored, trim colored, chrome or none of the above??
They match the interior trim color. I painted mine using the 'interior dye' from Zip. It's really a light very fine mist paint which works GREAT on interior pieces.
Hmmm, well maybe you guys are right. My body color and interior color are basically the same (Bridgehampton Blue / Bright Blue) so when I took them off and compared the colors it matched the interior color perfectly, including the level of metallic in them so I used that to repaint them. They weren't as dull as the paint on the door jamb inside area. Oh well, so much for A*S*S*U*MING something. I'll go crawl under a rock now and disappear.... ~Juliet
Mine are body colored on my 69, I know that they were originally body colored because I have taken them off and seen the original Riverside Gold paint my car was originally painted on the backsides.
