Electric choke

Electric choke
Anyone install a carb with electric choke? I need to find a wire in the engine compartment that is hot when the switch is on. (besides the obvious ignition wire). Anyone help?

I ran a new small fuse box that is powered from the starter post. The fuse box runs off a relay that is connected to the ignition so that it is only activated when the key is on. I also run my electric fans from that box.

As I remember on my '76 you can use the yellow wire from the wiper motor plug

I ran mine thru the firewall and connected it to a spade terminal on the fuse box.

Thanks. Any idea of amp draw? I have two chokes and I am wondering if I need separate wires all the way back to the origin.

The wire that came with the choke was 14 gage, so that's what I ran to the fuse box.
