I have an '82 CE, with the original Crossfire Injection. After being out of town for two weeks, I noticed that
one of the injectors is wet and leaking gas into the throttle body( from the nozzle). Question is, should this
injector be replaced, or would a rebuild fix the problem? The same injector appears to have a poor spray pattern
also.
Thanks

I'm sure it can be rebuilt. They don't really wear ut. Just some o-rings that get hard and brittle with age. I would, however, get all the injectors done. 20 years is a long time. Find a place that specializes in injector rebuilds. You also want all of tem ultrasonically cleaned and checked. A good shop will hook all of them up and measure how much they flow.
Sometimes it's cheaper to just get new ones, so check that option. But in any case, don't ignore the other 7!
You can buy a rebuild kit for $70 or so that rebuilds all the seals and o-rings in the throttle bodies. It's simpler than rebuilding a carburetor and there's no adjustments to be made afterwards except the syncronization.
