Default What do I need....

to rebuild my drivetrain? I know I need to replace my U-joints. How many do I need? What are the part #'s, how do I find the part #s? Are there any other parts I should replace on the drive shaft/half shafts?

Is there somewhere I can go to get a list of all the assembly components?

I have a 4spd manual 68

Thanks

Ecklers U joints

you need an AIM, Assembly Instruction Manual also available at ecklers and a Shop manual for your year also at ecklers
there are a bunch of other vendors listed at the left of the forum, learn to use the search feature here, lots of good info

replace what you have with the same thing only new. Ecklers, midamerica, and a bunch of others have the stuff. You will find that on those kinds of parts that the local aoto supply will be cheaper for the exact same part

Default U Joints

You will need a total of six U joints. Two for the drive shaft and four for the half shafts. You should be able to reuse the U bolts etc. In the past I have had all U joints rebuilt by local driveshaft companies. I had Spicer U joints installed on all three shafts for less than $150. This included sand blasting, painting the three shafts and balancing the drive shaft. You should be able to pull the shafts in less than two hours. Jerry
