The cross cable is either broken or came disconnected and won't release the RH hood lock. How can I get it open?

Look in the wiper bay. You'll see a plastic plug about the size of a quarter on the upper portion of the bulkhead. Pop the plug out, insert a screwdriver and push on the hood release. I know it's not real easy to see with the hood closed, so you may need a mirror to have a good look at the plug. It's location is, again, toward the top of the bulkhead right near the fender lip.
