Default Squeak, Squeak, Squeak

I've noticed this squeaking noise comming from the rear of the car for a while now. I've been spraying wd-40 and silicon spray on all the bushings I could see with no results. Had it up on the lift today and discovered it is comming from my leaf spring (FE7). My mechanic and I sprayed the heck out of it but he thinks it might have to be replaced. Anyone else have this problem and how did you solve it. This squeaking is starting to get to me.
Thanks much.

I could be wrong but I think in a catalog..magazine..something??
I saw an article on that.
I guess when the shims wear out they start squeking against eachother.
I believe it said shanging the shims would solve the problem..
Could be wrong

I was just going to ask about this? My friends new (to him) '90 Mustang squeaks like MAD and a lot of the bushings were replaced with poly when it was lowered. I assume they weren't lubricated well when installed.

What kidna of lubricant/grease etc should you use on poly bushings?

For poly bushings I recommend 'marine grease', available at boat shops and some walmarts. It is water resistant which makes it last much longer than lithium grease. Be prepared that you will have to regrease every now and then, though.

As for the leaf spring: I've never seen just the insulators for sale. Two options I can think of: If you really like your spring and it is in otherwise good shape, take it to a shop that rebuilds leaf springs. Usually you will be able to find a shop that does the springs for the big trucks (semis). They can also re-arch it if it is starting to loose its oomph. Although with so many new semis using air suspensions I don't know how many spring rebuilders are still around. I had some leaf springs fixed on my old camaro in 1990.

Second option would be (of course) to buy a new one. They're not expensive, but most of them will make the rear sit high for a few months until they settle, which can be annoying.
