Well, when the guy giving the inspection burns himself while doing it...

...lets just say he didn't think it was safe and failed me. Like it mattered. I paid another guy $25 instead of $7 and got the inspection. I do adhere to the safety of the car I'm driving, but whether a sidepipe is hot hardly means it's not road worthy. It means that people getting in and out better be smart enough NOT to touch bare skin to the pipe. Same principal as a hot stove.

I am in the process of doing the same job on my '76.I got a energy suspension poly set for the entire car from summit and new 550 lb. springs from ecklers. It all ran me about 300 bucks including shipping.Good luck with your project and pm me if you have any questions.

MOOG ball joints from Rockauto.com are $48/upper and $28/lower, tie rod ends are $24 (thats EACH piece!!) and the HD MOOG idler is $51.....I wonder how MOOG and Rock auto manage to stay in business...think it might have something to do with QUALITY??

PS:the car below is 100% MOOG.....

That is true...you get what you pay for. But I have a reality to look at. I don't drive all year, and the driving I do isn't extreme. Each part I just ordered from ZIP is made in America and comes with a good warranty. I'm not too worried, and know I'll get another 20 years out of these parts. Mine are all original save for the lower ball joints.
