Default Synthetic Tranny Oil

Has anyone with an automatic tranny been using synthetic trans. oil? If so, what are your comments? Is the shift quality about the same or have you noticed differences? I'd appreciate any insight....reasons to change to synthetic or reasons to stay with regular trans fluid.

I'm running Amzoil in my 2000 Silverado 4x4. I can feel no difference in the way it shifted before the change. When I have my TH400 rebuilt for the 396 engine it will be filled with Amzoil also. I am very happy with synthetic products.

Thanks, ratflinger. I retired from Allison Transmission, and they did a lot of work to prove heavy-duty trannies operated just the same....but durability went through the roof (much, much better life with synthetic oil). I was just curious whether it was as good and performed the same in personal vehicles.
