Default Pro topline heads

I have a pair Pro line heads in my garage, parts number 2236794167TA4942 0503 Under the valvecover: S-RT E26 are there some here who use these heads? I think to replace my 882 heads whith them in my 350 engine. What do you think, should i keep the #882 heads or do you think the pro Line heads are better?

You could head over to www.chevelles.com and do a search. there is a lot of talk about the PTL heads over the last year or so. I have a set on my blown BBC but the consenses seems to be good design, lousy quality control.

I have a copy of the 2002 ProTopline catalog and part # ledger. From what I've been reading, looks like your heads are SBC Pro-Torquer. The part #'s you list do not correspond to any specific model, but using their parts ledger, this is what I came up with.
2236794167TA4942
2 means Cast iron
23 means 23 DEGREE valve angle
67 means combustion chamber size
94 means 1.94 intake valve
167 means 167cc intake port volume
T is an ID code
A...should mean angled plugs (I think)
Also says the Pro-torquer comes with 2.02 exhaust.
(from catalog) This head was basically a performance replacement for stock, with a 30Hp gain. That's about all I can de-code for you. Compare these stats to the ones you have....should be better!

If you don't use them I would like to buy them. I've been looking for replacement heads for a while now.
