Your hard lines aren't stock are they? I thought stock lines were -6AN... Regardless how did you attach your braided to the hard lines without using a rubber clamp? did you use those new AN fittings that clamp to the flared ending on the metal lines?
Any pics of those connections? Good info. Why have two lines coming out of the cell into the pump? Seems like a waste since its going into a "Y" anyway.

nope, my original line was a 3/8 fuel line.. I just used the old fuel lines to attach the new #8 line.. That's it.. The old lines are not used anymore unless I'll ad a return line..

All of my connections are in the pictures that I posted. The fuel cell has 2 outlets. I didn't want to plug one outlet, so I routed both through a Y into the fuel filter and then into the pump.

Ollie,
Tell them what you used to tie the new lines to the old lines with. My money is on electrical ties instead of clamps. Much quicker.

68 NJConv 454, Most sumps have 2 outlets so as not to allow an interuption of fuel to the pump since pumps tend to hate air.

To avoid the wrath of Norval and TT I removed the old lines and used rubber coated clamps to secure them to the frame in the stock locations.

I indeed used electrical ties.

The fuel lines won't get hot enough to melt the ties.. They'll work just fine

I'm sure this will pass tech, at least at Beech Bend anyway!
Sreiously O, there's things out there to hang on that could rip them down. Kinda like that dead cat photo.
Just don't show Norval your trailing arm mod. He couldn't take it.

I can still install regular clamps. At the tracks that I race at, nobody ever checks anything. Even though I run constantly in the 10's, my car isn't really legal to 10's..
I'd need to install my transmission blanket, I'd need some half shaft loops, driveshaft loop etc... Most tracks usually don't check for half shaft loops as it is a Corvette specific rule and nobody seems to care. I have never even gotten in trouble for not having a driveshaft loop. Anyway, the driveshaft can't fall down on C3's because it runs on top of the rear frame and the rear frame would catch it on the way down... I do have a transmission blanket but never installed it. Well, my battery mount would also not pass tech...
Just a few small things. Nothing that would cost an arm and a leg to install..

Electrical ties are NO way to attach a fuel line. That was my guess also as to what he would use.
The car is a disaster waiting to happen

Even without any clamps, the fuel line is not going anywhere. It runs on top of the tranny crossmember and I have a screwed tie down in front. There's not enough slack in it to go anywhere. My car is pretty safe.
I'm not worried.. I'm only worried about hitting geting below 10.75 in summer . That could mean 10.30's or better in winter if I'll race up north..
