Actually there are quite a few C-5 drivers that do not wave. I would bet you alot of money that everyone that participates on the forum will and does wave. Its those people that don't have a clue that are all stuck up and don't :cheers:

Here in socal I get lots of waves :seeya I think the "Corvette People" allways wave, but people who are just owners have no clue of what being a Corvette owner is all about.

My theory:
Most C5 folks drive their Vettes everyday. Like most people we "Zone Out" while we drive. I don't think that the majority of C5 owners mean to not wave. I just don't think that they notice!
On the other hand, "most" C3 and earlier Corvette owners don't drive their Vettes but on special occassions. When we are out, we are looking for other Vettes all the time! :cheers:
I have found that when I pass a C5 (or C4) and get "eye contact", I usually get a wave. Most of the C5s that don't wave usually aren't even looking! :sleep:
I passed a MY C5 on Saturday. I threw up my hand and was waving wildly. The driver wasn't looking, but his passenger saw me and threw up his hand as we passed. When I looked in my rearview mirror the drivers hand was up as well. :seeya
Give the C5 folks a break. With all those "working" creature comfort *****, the HUD, and looking ahead to see who they can pass, it's hard to notice anything else!! :lol:

I don't keep track, but I would guess that I get the same percentage of waves from Cx owners.

QikStik, I like your theory. I've been working on the theory that C5s tend to be owned by lawyers and doctors who are just too darned good for the rest of us. Now I see the error of my ways! :D

JB .....I'm a commercial painting contractor......and worked my foot off for my baby. But I would say that, even I, get less waves from C5 drivers. Some of the vettes that I pass have windows tinted so dark that I can't even tell if they saw me wave or if they are returning it. But if you ever pass me on the road................I'll be :seeya like a :jester
