I took my 68 out for a run and everything was fine and mini van was going to pass me (single lane traffic country road) and well that didn't happen, but I was riding along and went around a turn and heard something hit the undercarrage. Stopped looked and found nothing missing or loose, then continued on the was slowing down to make a turn and heard something else under the car (??????). I will put her up in the air tomarrow and take a better look at this. AL.
Will do! I looked all the normal things like the rear toe shims, front end shims, and so far I'm thinking this car has been at three body shops and one of the shops may have left bolts tools, who knows? What ever it was was under the car and did hit the body. I when over the body real good and it looks like we are okay. this happened around a turn and that makes me think one of the shops let something some under the car. There was no way I was going to let a scocker mom mini van pass a 68 Corvette!!!! More on this when I get her up in the air, AL.
Not sure about the 68 or what wheels you have but the center caps on my 81 like to jump off around corners. Now they are epoxy-fied.
Right now I have no wheel covers on steel rallies, car is not completed yet. Still tring to get the bugs out of her and may be tools extra parts as well , AL.
Hey Al, do you have any close up or larger pics of your avatar? Thats not the car your working on is it? Your 68 is black right? What kind of vette is your avatar?

Tim, I have all the correct shielding and insulation is under the car and insire as well. All that shields and insulation really helps because the car before got real hot inside and now the complete floor is cool and it is hot only on the outside (I added the dynomat heat insulation inside also). As far as my finding you bet, I willl post it, AL.

Jake, sorry I missed your post till now. The picture in my avatar is a 1964 Pontiac Banshee concept car. GM never made it because they thought it would hurt Corvette sales. Here is a good link on that car if interested....... http://www.hotrod.com/featuredvehicl...e_convertible/ , AL.
Thanks for the pics, I have seen banshee pics before but none that big and with all the detail. The rear on your avatar looked like the sail panels were extended on a vette and I didnt know what it was. It looks pretty cool from the rear, so so from the front.
