zz383 install
just finished a zz383 install in my 78. put in transgo shift kit for th 350 trans. edelbrock air gap rpm manifold, holley street avenger 770 cfm carb, msd ignition, hooker sidepipe headers. new air dam and radiator seal kit installed properly ,aluminum radiator,flex lite 118 puller fan with relay kit, high flow water pump,lower radiator hose with spring in it! no more running hot{210-220} runs at 185 constant finally.for all you guys wondering about zz383 fitting this fits just fine. have stock L-48 hood and 1 1/2 inch drop base air cleaner with 3 inch k@mfilter. hooker sidemount headers fit with no problem, you just have to fab a dip stick bracket for passenger side. pretty easy install and this engine has plenty of power for a small block. totally changed the car. it is a blast to drive. oh i forgot, some of the plugs are hard to get to but i can live with that!!!
