Default Help me ID this fiberglass spring

I have no idea what the spring rate is. I'm guessing it's a TRW spring? Any help is appreciated.

I have the TRW in mine. It says AO Smith as well. The punched out hole in your sticker identifies the part number suffix (rate).

Its a 315 rate spring from Muskegon Brake. You have my sympathies.

Hmmm, so it could be a 355 or a 315. Kid Vette, do you have experience with this particular type of spring?

The part numbers for C3 comp springs listed on Muskegon's website all begin with 600 and not 602.

So what are we figuring? Is it a TRW spring? How do I determine the spring rate?

I tried two of the 340 rate springs. Both had the rear of my car about three inches too high. I ended up with a VBP spring and I am a happy camper.

Muskegon Brake bought the patent rights from TRW. Here's a link to their web site: Muskegon Brake

Give Muskegon a call and ask them. The numbers on the spring should give them what they need to identify it. If it is not their spring, they will likely tell you who made it and you can call them.

TRW 315# spring.

I have a 340# TRW and it works just fine with the addition of longer spring bolts.

101 = 315#
103 = 340#
105 = 355# (On my car)

That is what I have in my files. If you have the -101 then it is going to be pretty soft.
