Royal Purple experience
I decided to use Royal Purple in my oil change 2 months ago on the advice of the rep at the parts store. I bought a case and changed the oil in my 02 Chevy pickup with 125k and the Vette. In both engines, I can really feel a difference with the change. It feels like a little more than what you notice between having the A/C on and off. The oil pressure gauge does not drop below 40psi in the Vette on a 95 degree day with the A/C on. The only drawback is that the Vette has started seeping oil from the front and rear intake manifold seals and around the fuel pump. My co-worker told me I should have gradually moved the Vette into the Royal Purple diet. I think next change I will go with a lower viscosity 10W30 vs 10W40 to ease pressure on the seals. Just sharing an experience for those considering dropping $50 on a case.

Give it a little time, it will clean the internal part of the seal once the seal is clean of old residue, the conditioners in the oil will make the seals swell some and should stop the leak. In most cases the syn oil will be drained and not given the time needed to condition the seals. In some cases the seal is damaged beyond the capabilities of the additives and will need to be changed.

In addition, you may want to check that your pcv sytm is operating properly. Pcv valves are available with different flow ratings as well. Not a fix for bad seals though.
PCV system needs to function correctly, it will help prevent leaks.
