Default Run for the hills - another D port/header question

With regard to D port exhausts and headers such as those made by Hedman- are there any differences in GM aluminum heads and header fitment from the Fast Burn, Edelbrock Etec, Brodix heads,, etc. or any early D port heads?

One of my dad's friends is selling a set of early Aluminum heads #14011049 (not sure if they're Phase 6 though) for $600. I mated my standard flange headers to them at the races last night and they look close, but I'm not sure if I'll get a good exhaust seal. Any words of wisdom out there on early D port heads?

Finally, it looks like they are 55cc chamber heads and I'm considering having a friend or machine shop open them to about 64cc or so. Any experience out there with this as well. Thanks as always for any advice.

For all the bigger exhaust port heads you need the larger 1 3/4 primary pipes.

The"D" port bottom lip acts as an antireversion device. FelPro blue steel impregnated gaskets with exhaust head studs is the only way to go.
