Steering wheel
I am confused? I have been looking through my assembly manual but cant seem to be clear on the following. My car is missing the steering wheel. I have the column in place. The shaft is sticking out without a nut on it.
All the steering wheels I see have a multi bolt pattern. i can't find in any of the catalogs or the assembly manual the part I need that adapts from the splined shaft to the steering wheel. Can anyone help me see what I am missing? Also where can I get the nut?
Thanks!

The 1968 column is the same as my 1967. It sounds as if you are missing the steering wheel hub. The wheel is attached to the hub by six Phillips-head screws.

And is the hub attached to the shaft and held down with the big nut?
If so I haven't seen the hubs for sale in any of the catalogs. Have you.
p.s. Nice looking interior!!

Go here and have a look at Section 18. But you can buy the hub at most Corvette parts vendors.

Hubs are hard to find. I found one for my 71' on eBay. You might look over Jim Shea' steering colume papers as they have a wealth of column info.

Start calling the used parts suppliers. Gruhala Enterprises in DeSoto, MO might be able to hook you up.
