Well I can tell you that it's not made by Northern Factory because they don't make a "direct fit" for '73 - '76 vettes so my best advice is to call and ask who they're made by. I don't think that's a dewitts because his are usually $500+ and I doubt he'd sell em to a wholesale place like that.

I don't really think it's aluminum, either.

I called and the the third down is an alum, direct fit. Pic does not show actual pic of correct radiator. I also did some checking and they are a rep. company.

I just bought one from this place. Looks good, fits well, cools well, they shipped promptly and it was a reasonable priced for an aluminum radiator.

Notice all of their Corvette radiators, "Made By: DeWitts"

All $450+ and made by our frequent visitor and forum sponsor. I would imagine they work great.

OK, I have a Dewits in my 81, I love it, have had no problems etc. I ordered the one for $347 today from Bizrit online shopping for my 74 BB. I will compare the two and let you know what I find out.

The dewits is $495 plus $25 shipping, the one I am going to try is $347.00 with free shipping. They say they are the same??

http://replacement.autopartswarehous...diator&dp=true
For about $175.00 difference I will take the gamble and if not happy send it back.

UPDATE: The radiator I ordered from the other place that was not Dewitts came in and it was not ALUM as they stated. I am sending it back to them.

I called Dewitts today and ordered the correct one from Tom's place. It is in stock and shipping today.

In short, there are no short cuts to the right part the first time.

CALL DEWITTS and be done. It is a small price when figured into what we are spending on these things.

I got an aluminum radiator made by Northern factory shipped to me for $308 and it fit as well as Tom's would have... With the money I saved I paid someone else to install it for me. How's that for direct fit?

Northern doesn't make radiators for '73 - 76 vettes, though. Only C3s they cover are '68 - '72 and '77 - '82.

Wow I just noticed I repeated an older post I made. I'm becoming a broken record on this subject! Northern should hire me as their marketting monkey.

I had a feeling it wasn't aluminum, either. I called and studied just about every radiator maker I could get ahold of trying to find a good radiator that fit and always ended in the same spot.

Actually I saved money AND time, even after paying someone to do it. Plus I got one of those "unwritten warranties" by doing it that way. If something were to fail on me within a week or so the shop would catch the blame, and repairs wouldn't cost me anything. I had a trusted mechanic install it so I wasn't really worried, anyways.

But after all that I still saved money.

What time and where is it at again? I might actually be able to join y'all since I had to come in to work early anyways.

PM me with a phone number and details so I have someone to call in case I get lost.
