Default Biscuit disappeared!

The front support lower rubber biscuit on my 1980 diff has pretty much gone. Is there any way it can be replaced without removing the whole carrier. It doesn't mention the procedure in Chiltons Manual.

help please

pull the drive shaft and the cat and its shield if its there. you should be able to get it out, its just a big bolt, 2 washers and 2 biscuits

the bolt is the biggest PITA because you have to disconnect the drive shaft. should be able to get it with a 1/4" 12 point socket and about half a dozen extensions. once you have the shaft out of the way and the nut off the bolt, just push it up and pry down a little on the tongue just enough to slip the new bushing in place. put everything back together and your on your way.
