Default relays for headlights

I've upgraded my headlights to halogen and would like to take some of the load off the electrical system. Putting relays in would help. What color wires supply the headlights(high and low) on a 78 vette? TIA Pete

I think its green for high and tan for low. Check them with a circuit tester.

Anyone attempting this should have a little electrical knowledge and if you posses this knowledge a quick test with a multi meter will quickly reveal which is which.

Light green for high and tan for low .

There is a harness available from Speed Direct, a forum sponsor, that will upgrade the headlamp system to relay control. It is completely plug-n-play and requires absolutely no modifications to your present wiring.

Speed Direct SK NeverNights Harness

They are designed and manufactured by a Corvette Forum member who loves C3's as much as we all do and is proud to provide a quality product to the Corvette resto/mod community .

Great drawing, Six! Looks like Don Olson's work!

Last one I did (Jeep with 150W H4's), I did it on the fly - took a while! This will save time when I do the 'vette.

Thanks!

I bought this harness and lights. The high beams won't fit without really hacking the headlight buckets. The rest of the product is top notch.
