Default Brakes????

OK I jump in the vette to go play a round of Golf.. Hey starts up ok.. After being sitting in the garage for 3 weeks.. take off down the street and what !!! No Brakes.. !!! ???? They were working fine last time out .. They pump up but go down agin!! What happened???? I checked for any signs of leakage at each wheel... Nothing obvious.. The master cylinder is pretty new also... So why would the brakes take a dump like this..??? Just sitting...

Air is your enemy. Bleed em and give it another shot. Checking runout is a good idea if you don't know what it is already. How old are the calipers?

Default Runout???

What is runout??? I never heard that term before... The calipers I have never done with... I put on the new master cylinder and had the brakes bled.. It has been 2-3 years since then..??? What let the air in..????
I have been driving it a lot more lately since Lars rebuilt my distributor and got the gas tank fixed..

Runout is the warpage in the hubs and rotors, we all got it, but you want it less that .002" You have to measure it with the wheel off and use a dial indicator on a magnetic mount.
Runout forces the pistons in and out of the calipers when brakes are applied at speed and makes them suck in air bit not necessairily leak juice on your wheels.
The reason it pumps the pistons in and out is because the calipers do not float like on new cars.
