Default TPI wire harness advice needed.

After pulling this mess out this evening,

I am wondering if I should keep the factory harness, and ecm?
Should I go with a Mega Squirt system?
I am not planing on using any, or as few of the factory emissions controls as nesessary(sp)._
If I keep the factory ecm, I know I will have to have a custom prom with the emissions parameters removed.
Will I be able to use the factory harness with the Mega Squirt system?
Now that the cooler weather is coming, working on this conversion will not be a sweat fest.
Any help or advice on either option will be greatly appreciated. I need both positive and negatives.
Funds are a factor in this, as the present carb set up works fine. I don't want to spend a fortune on the conversion.

Checkout the following site for a down to earth look at TPI conversions and factory wire harnesses.

http://www.jagsthatrun.com

I used a Ron Francis kit when I put a TPI into my 85 Jaguar because it allowed me to wire each sensor individually and put everything in the original ecm location in the trunk.

I'm using a 91 Corvette weatherproof ecm on my 77 vette with a Street & Performance harness compatible with the wearherproof ecm. I've mounted the ecm in the left fender where it is just visible through the fender scoop. There's not a lot of room inside a C3 to mount the ecm and accomodate the 1 inch + bundle of wires from it through your firewall.
