spedo cable question.
Im about to switch my spedometer cable on my 74'. Is there anything that holds the cable in behind the speedometer like a clip or do you have to just yank it out?

It is a clip, but you do not remove it. I just bends toward the face of the speedo while pulling on the cable. If you have problems my speedo is out and I can email you a pic of the back side.

yes, you don't need to remove or pull the dash out- if you're fairly small/flexible. I'm 5'10" and 210 lbs and I was able to get to mine without removing the dash. Just feel around, push the clip in with one finger and pull out on the cable with the others. Installation is simple- just wiggle it in. Once the clip snaps, give the cable a little tug to make sure it is in, and you're good to go. I laid on my back with my head at the pedals to do mine.
