Default correct tire size?

What is the correct tire size for my 1981? I have been to three local places and they have all told me different answers. I currently have 245/60/15's on it. Also, if anybody has pics of what similar sizes look like that would be great! THANKS!

255/60/R15s were available, not sure if they were standard or not. That's what I run on my 77.

Do you have pics? They all told me that 225/70/15's were what I needed to put on it.

225/70/15 is what Discount Tire's database says:

Put a set of BFG T/A's on the factory alum rims a month ago. 255/60/15 was the factory option size. No problems with fit at all. If I remeber right, the height is the same as the 225/70's

At Sam's Club with life balancing, mounting repair etc was $400.15

225's were standard, the 255's were an option. either one you want would be fine. Might have a rubbing issue with the larger tires up front. Most dont though. I think the 255's look better than the skinny honda tires. Yokohama 255/50 on my 79, got to www.tirerack.com they are a sponsoring vendor, great prices, reviews of most tires etc.
