A friend of mine has a 1981(pretty sure) where the power steering pulley lines up with the 3rd(forward-most) pulley on the crankshaft damper.
That's where I need my power steering belt to line up.
Will a 1980 Power Steering pulley bolt onto my 1968 Pump? Or do I need to get the complete 1981 PS Pump whole assembly?
Do you have a 327 or 350? The 3 groove crank pulley is for 1975-82 Vettes with A/C and it has an o.d. of 7.75". Your pulley is probably a 6.75" o.d. If your car is not a special high performance engine then all you need is a (paragon p/n 1769) 6 11/16" o.d. crank/harmonic balancer pulley. The 80 pump pulley will not work because your pump shaft will have a keyway. The 75-82 pumps used a pressed on pulley.
I have the 8" damper and I also have the 3rd pulley up in front. Yes, I do have 3 grooves available on the crank.
Since I installed a/c, I now need to run the PS from the forward-most groove...what I don't have is the pulley on the PS Pump that would align with this forward-most groove on the crank.
