I dont think I have ever seen the moon roof type tops. Interesting.
I was thinking of maybe putting the crossflags emblem or stingray emblemon the sides of the roof.
*whaps head on table* I wasn't thinking of the vert hartops.
Sorry, yes i meant vert hard tops. One thing i noticed when installing the hardtop is you cant see very well when looking to the rear. I thought about small port windows in the sides like the old T-Birds had. Maybe etch them the with crossflags logo.
My 68 had a sun roof in the hard top when I bought it. It was tinted plexi held in by a piece of weather strip for a pickup rear window. A real amateur job. It leaked badly. I molded a filler piece in fiberglass with the correct contour, by laying the glass on another hardtop (protected of course). Installed my patch and fiberglassed the seams. It was difficult replacing the interior because no reproductions were available at the time, and the interiors tend to deteriorate any way. Came out pretty nice, but if I had to do it again, I probably would have just tossed it. Too much work.

Dont feel bad
You just gave me the idea of what I want to do with a set of T-Tops I picked up for $50
Im thinking dark plexiglass (dont know how the plexi willl hold up to weather/road Conditions) and some sort of interior...Maybe a vynil/leather covered foam.
No chance with a convertible. Is there a way to retrofit T-tops in a convertible hard top?
It would require the addition of a substantial center spine for structural support that wrapped around each end. Could be done I suppose, but If you have a perfect top, sell it or trade it for one like mine. I paid $200.- for one that blew off a car. Pretty minor damage considering the event. It needs all the trim but I scored a new back glass and the hardware for free. Find something like that and you'll save money, plus get good money for the nice one to fund your project...
Just had a thought. Find a wrecked T-top car and cut out the roof section to include the metal framework that mounts the tops. You would have to adapt the two conflicting front pieces, but that way you would have the back two thirds done and ready to go with just some glasswork to graft them together.
