Default need ideas for 550hp

I am currently running 375 hp on normally aspirated 350 with a turbo 350. Im looking into putting a lvl 3 700R4 which can hold 630 ft/Ibs and hp. Anyone got any ideas to make it run 550 hp or so? Which would be better, a turbo or supercharger? anyone know where i could get a kit for either one? i would probably need to tear down engine and drop compression cause im running about 10:1 and match everything. Anyone know where i could find a complete kit? thanks for the help guys!

"Easiest" way is to get a motown 454 smallblock and have 600hp. You can run 91 octane and still have all the power.

Or save a few grand and get the 427 motown with like 500hp or so. Still runs on 91 octane.

if you're playing with forced induction and fuel injection on a c3, nothing comes in a kit.

How much would those motown engines cost? and there is no kits for a carb 350 out there that you could make work for a C3? If no kits, anyone know what i would need?

Well the 454 from World products costs like $11000...

The 427 is significantly less, but a few grand. They both carry like a 2 year warranty.

The plus side of using a big motown is that they're a small block and will essentially fit in without the need for a bunch of changes, like putting in a big block. You still get all the displacement without the space constraints. That's how I would do it.

call Lloyd McLeary at http://www.tandlengines.com/index.html
he can build you 550 hp small block or big block stroker at a reasonable price.
He built a 383 / 500hp stroker for me. I believe he is building a 408 stroker now that can put out 550hp with the right cam.

Woah you're 17? I say wait at least 4 years before you even think about driving 500hp around on the street. \

375 is more than enough and be glad you have that!

supercharge it.And i believe that there are kits out there for your car,you could go with paxton novi 2000,procharger,vortech,or if you dont mind cutting your hood or putting another hood on,you can go with weiand,b&m,holley,or go with the big boys.Dont know what cam you have or whats done to the engine, the supercharger will get you there the cheapest out of all the other ideas

Hahah im glad to have my baby, i bought here in may with all the money i've saved up over the years. Ever since i can remember ive been dreaming of having a C3 and being able to talk to fellow guys like you about corvettes and 375 hp, you could always have more haha.

My engine has a torquer 2 intake, 800cfm holly, ceramic coated headers and true dual exhaust, i think my cam is close to .4 - .5 inch lift, about 10:1 compression

but anyways... something i just thought of. My tires grip very well now but i figure if i put this much extra power on it that i might have to address an issue there. Anyone got on any ideas on what might happen there?

You can get pretty close with a 406 with good heads and cam.
I have a few friends who bought crate engines from World and they're much less than pleased. Their blocks are great but none of their heads are worth putting on any kind of performance engine - NOBODY other than World uses them on any of their crate engines. Their warranty is a joke as well, search the web and you'll find all the stories you care to read.
That said, you really should wait a few years and get some wheel time behind you before you think about 550hp. That's much more than a handful and can get out of hand in the blink of an eye.

yeah. It will be awhile before i get this done to it but i am just trying to plan out what i want to do to it. I'm going to be taking Automotive technology next year. It should be fun. I've never driven anyhting with that kind of power. The closes ive gotten is a C5 with better intake and headers. Im just looking into making her go a little fast cause of all the spoiled kids (that might sound a little weird coming from a kid with a vette but i bought it myself with my money from working) at my school whose parents bought them brand new benz, escalades, GTOs, you name it, its in my school which has over 3,000 kids in it. But in the mean time i want to get this thing running 5 sec 0-60 or lower. I am currently running about a 5.5 5.6 sec 0-60 and i'm thinking about swapping my turbo 350 for a 700R4. Sound like a good start to you guys?

Cheapest and easiest way to get 550 HP with your engine is a 175 HP nitrous system. If you have forged pistons it is under $500 if you can install it yourself.
