Should have a Turbo 400. What is wrong with the stock converter. Why do you need to change?

A converter will not get you more torque. It simply is a connecting device at which the motor and tranny are joined. It transfers power from the motor to the tranny...no power gain. A higher stall may give you a better launch off the line but if you have a stock motor, you may not see a difference at all.

The stock converter is around 1200 to 1400. For a stock motor anything more than 2000 is goingto be a waste. My buddy has a 2200 in his car and it is around 400 HP and it launches harder thanhe can handle. A loose converter on the street just increases the trans temp and if you have low gears will kill fuel mileage.
