Default Issues with autometer gauges

I have put some autometer gauges in my 71 vert and now I can't seem to get the center console to go back far enough on the top part. It may be hitting the A/C duct behind the gauges. Has anyone else ran into this?

There should be enough room.

Can you tell what is hitting?

Put some double sided tape on the parts of the gauges that stick out the farthest. Then install it till it hits an obstruction, and remove the gauges. The tape shoudl adhere to the duct if that's the hold up. Make sure the tape is not well adhered to the gauges so it comes off when it sticks to something else.
