I have a '72 and I need some help diagnosing non-functional wipers. The door opens when I turn on the switch. I checked the fuse and it’s good. I also checked to be sure the wires were connected. I don’t see any visual problem. The wiper motor is supposed to have been rebuilt and according to the person I purchased it from the wipers were working.
I know there is a relay under the console but not ready to take it apart until I know that’s the problem.
Anybody have a wiring diagram or procedure to diagnose the problem?
There is a **** that needs to be turned on the bottom of the dashboard approx. where the steering col. goes thru, it should be in between two ***** that 1, open the wiper door and 2, raises the headlights, (with the engine running). Peace,,, Moosie

Also make sure when the wiper door opens, it is tripping the switch mounted on the firewall.

Moosie982: Well you were right it was the switch at the bottom of the dash below the steering column. I didn't know what that was for but do now! Thanks so much for your help.
I guess I really need to read the owners manual to fins out what else I don't know.
