Default alarm system help

I am trying to get the factory alarm system working on my 70 convertible(along with every other system). While cleaning out the rear storage compartment, I found the harness with nothing connected to the terminals. One is a three prong, the other two shaped like a flasher terminal. Also found a two more connectors that I believe go to the glove box light. I think the two connectors are for the alarm. One thread I read mentions one is for a flasher to work the horn and the other is a realy. I ahve been looking for the relay in the vendor parts catalogs, but no mention of an alarm relay. It is a special relay, or dose a relay for something else get used for the alarm also?

On my 71', the relay and flasher are on a bracket fastened to the front of the pass side storage compartment (where the jack stores). AIM calls out P/N 1115878 for the relay and 3904868 flasher. Hope this helps.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is AIM? I heard of it before, but don't know what it is. I am sure it's doesn't mean AOL Instant messenger. Do you know where I could get the relay. The flasher is readily available and our vendors, but can't seem to find the relay.

The AIM is the assembly instructions GM used at the assembly plant and shows how to put the car together. VERY USEFUL.

You will have to search eBay for the relay as I haven't seen them in the Vette parts catalog either, or see if anyone has a good used one. There maybe be a "functional" replacement for it.

I kind of figured it was the assembly manual, but the "I" in the AIM was confusing me. Does anyone know where this relay can be found?

Here's a post from a while ago on the alarm system relay.

Here's the horn relay referred to in the post. Might be worth trying.
