How exactly wasn't the new booster working, and what about the old booster is wrong that you want to replace it? They don't go bad often and there is a simple test you can do to test the booster and see if there is something simple like air in the lines.

Okay, so you still are gonna want to swap the old one out for the new one? And the old one works it just doesn't look as nice?

Well here's the deal. Yes, they can be opened and worked out, and I think you can get a kit to rebuild it, but it's not the easiest thing to do, and you'll want to take your time and be very careful about the order of the many layers in the booster.

I thought the Vette kit from them was #2129 ???

"Power Booster is Brand New and tested before shipping."

What's the 2123?

If anybody knows a source for rebuild kits for Vette power brake boosters... cough it up! I've been looking for those for a long, long time.

He's got a point. Nothing looks better than a cleaned and painted Hydro compared to a stock vac booster.

It's smaller, better looking, saves engine vacuum, and improves caliper piston force. I don't agree with you, sorry.

Yeah, but you have to have power steering to use it. A lot of us don't have pwr steering.

You don't have to have power steering...you can just mount the pump and use that. The steering components are part of the system but don't need to be changed if you have a manual setup.

You could buy a cheap reman booster...swap the guts to and from your chrome one, and return the reman for a refund.
