I have a T-56 with a VSS and a cable drive unit that runs my speedo. I am trying to decide what kind of cruise to put in it? It didnt' have cruise from the factory so I am starting from scratch.
So do I use the Caprice option from the Corvette Fever article or do I use something else that can read a VSS? The engine is Carbed so no ECM to run anything through.
Any ideas?
-Thanks,
Charlie
Are you using the same kind of speedo cable as stock? If so, you may be able to use the later model C3s cruise control. It's a rather simple system. It has a transducer that the cable goes in to then a cable comes out of to go to the speedometer. It then has an vacuum actuator that basically holds your carb's throttle bracket.
Are you running a q-jet? If so it'll be pretty easy to use a late model C3 CC.
