Dinner with Gene Simmons
KISS Demon Gene Simmons is coming to Fort Bragg to promote the latest KISS product - Kiss perfume and cologne. The Post is running a contest and five lucky(?) people will get to have dinner with Gene at a special VIP gathering after his appearance at the PX. Guess who was selected as one of the five winners? Well yeah, me!
I get to bring a guest. The wife said heck no, so I'm open to offers. The dinner is Monday at 6 PM, on Fort Bragg. Should I ask him to stick his tongue out?

MAN I WOULD LOVE TO GO WITH YOU!!! Unfortunately we are working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week right now, with a spot of overtime thrown in for good measure. This is to go on until sometime into late November. If it happens after then, I would love to go for sure.
My wife and I watch his show every Monday night and love it. Its hard to believe, The Mighty Demon, is not so mighty around the house. My wife just laughs.
Any way, have a great time, enjoy your dinner and take a few pics.
How far is Fort Bragg from Knoxville Tn. I could be sick for a day or two at work. :biggrin:

I've seen him in a few interviews and on his show when I am flipping through the channels; I can't help but think that he has got to be one of the biggest ego-maniacs I have ever seen next to Donald Trump.

The Simmons family "reality show" on A&E called "Family Jewels" is pretty funny. His son, Nick, is constantly looking at Gene with that "Geez, my dad is such a tool/jackass!" sort of look.
I wish that group of musicians would actually make some music together again and quit hawking kiss logo'd cologne/perfume, tampons, condoms, you name it. It is ridiculous. I used to love KISS but have really lost respect in the last few years.

Gene simmons has made ridiculous amounts of money, literally had as much nookie as any guy could want and is in a happy relationship with shannon.
I'm not even a big KISS fan but I have to respect his success.

The guy openly admits that he wanted to be a famous rock star for the money and the women as opposed to trying to say that he wanted to tell his story through his lyrics or some such cr*p.

The dinner went very well. More people there than I expected though. Lots of folks from the organization that runs the PX. Should have expected that. Every time Gene would get up from his table, he'd get mobbed for pictures and autographs. He must have expected it. He was very agreeable all night.
He gave a 3 minute speech about how he was born in Isreal and if not for the U.S., there would be no Isreal. He said Ft Bragg was hallowed ground and that he loves this country. He got a standing "O".
