I just got my car back from the paint shop and am now putting weather stripping on the T-Tops from willcox. Problem is I don't think the driver's side top is aligned. I need help any tips on how to make it aligned without feeling like your forcing it or anything????????
Also it seems like the window is rolling up a lot slower then usual.. it rolled up great when I was taking it home from the shop so dunno wth happen to that.. Also its smoking out the back so I'm guess its not choking right?
if the paint shop took your window seals out they may have not seated all the nipples back into thier holes properly. the outer edge of your window seal snaps in by round ***** that snap into a hole similar in design to a shirt button snap.I had a fit getting the snap on both sides behind rear view mirror to snap in with new aftermarket seals.someone could easily have given up on getting one of them to snap in place if frustrated with it.There are abuot 4 buttons of this type adn two screws. If one of those wasn't snapped in it will bulge out and apply more pressure against your window makin it drag. to fix this you will have to take the window out in most cases. if the paint shop was competent in window removal they wouldn't have unbolted anything that messed up your window adjustment. also you have two window anti rattle/bumper guides under your door panel that stop your window from rubbin against metal or rattlin in case your seals fail or are rotted from age. If they put them back in after removal and put them tight against the window that could also be an issue if they possibly thought those bumpers were for window alignment. It's not a huge project the fact that u aren't skilled at doing it is what will make it time consuming. After having to take mine apart a few times i became skilled and can take the whole door apart and reinstall in less than or about 30 minutes.
