HI
Basic starter question here
when the key is turned to the ON position, is the starter suposed to engage the flywheel or is it a two stage process when the key is turned to START

If I'm not mistaken (which I often am), when you turn the key to start the solonoid causes the starter to engage the flywheel. If it did that when it was just in the on position then the starter would be constantly turning with the engine when the engine is running (since the key is always "on").
