BIG new lessons learned....
1. Dont build your body dolly extra tall thinking you will have lots of extra room to work on the bottom without measuring the garage door clearance first!! Yes, I had to lift the body again yesterday to rebuild the dolly shorter so it would roll into the garage.
2. I bought extra large 6" casters so I could roll the body around the back of my house and into the downstairs garage... Yeah, an 800 pound body on wheels that are one inch wide WILL SINK IN TO THE LAWN! My wife almost asked for a divorce when she thought we had a permanent, half stripped, corvette in our front yard. Not a happy day in our house.. So I fabricated an axle for a couple front tractor tires and mounted it close to the center of gravity. It rolls alot nicer now, havent yet tried to move it across the yard. Wish me luck!
Here are the before and after pics of the body dolly. Tonight is the first time since 1985 that my poor, cold, wet Vette has seen rain! I begged my wife to let me use her side of the garage just for tonight. Any takers on what her response was?

That is hilarious!
Have fun cleaning, degreasing, and painting your frame and engine compartment. That is by far he most labor intensive and monotonous part of the project.

Don't for get to use the house towels for cleaning and the dish washer for the small parts. The front and rear end should be disassembled in the kitchen so you are close to the dish washer. For repainting the parts the dining room table is perfect as it is big and just the right height. I am sure your wife will help you do the cleaning of the frame while you are watching the foot ball games, But make sure you put the beer in a cooler and place it next to your easy chair when watching the game. That way you wont have to disturb the wife for here cleaning the parts. If I missed something sorry.
Looks good.
I used the inflatable 10" swivel casters with knobby tires from HF.
They worked great, but I never got to use them "off driveway".
OK - maybe 1/2 off: http://nhvette.homeunix.com/ftp/in/v...body_dolly.jpg
Dean's response is funny - but my wife has learned that the tub
actually gets cleaner after I wash my beloved vette parts in it.
Since we got a new dishwasher, the old one is mine ... in the garage.
