Hey, just wanted to see who has sharks in NJ, and if there are any clubs/shows in the area. I live in Denville, which is around Morristown (In Morris County).
Hi! This weekend there is an NCRS regional at the Hilton hotel in Iselin (or Woodbridge, depending on your map). Sunday my town (Summit) is having our antique/classic car show. I will be at both. MJ http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zero...ply&id=1183103
Bifkin,
I guess life is better now that 80 has re-opened all lanes? Hopefully it didn't affect your daily commute. I heard some real horror stories...
I live in Pompton Lakes and own a '69 vert.
I'm hoping soon I'll get to meet some of you other NJ forum guys at an event or cruise and put some faces to the names.
-Tom
Yeah rt80 was a mess, luckily I work close by and take local roads every day. You should have seen the traffic throughout the town though, everything was backed up.
There be sharks here too. I'm right next to the start of the AC expressway in Washington Township. There's going to be a show in Ocean City this Sunday put on by Boardwalk Corvettes. I'll be there. :seeya
Im in Neptune City, kind of close to Asbury Par, but down in Pomona which is close to Atlantic City for school now. As far as car shows this weekend, Wildwood is hosting one of the biggest shows of the year on the boardwalk. Show on the boards till3, then they drive off the boards cruise the street for the rest of the night. And they dont just cruise around slowly. Guys rip the streets of wildwood up. It definitely the best show of the year IMHO. There have to be over a thousand cars on the boardwalk, plus another thousand who dont register and just drive around! ITS INSANE!
Go to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
Theres more neon light and subwoofers in that parking lot, than McD's has french fries!
I think Island has a few more friday nights open until it hibernates for winter... Tell me if you decide to go one of these nights.
I don't think i'll be able to make it in my vette this week, as its in pieces at the shop... but I bring the ricer down there once in a while to beat on. (Gotta love being able to rev a japanese engine to near 7k rpm and not having it break).
Hey Bifkin, don't forget about the 10/21 show at Ramapo College in Mahwah.
There's usually a great turnout, and alot of the Forum Guys are there.
There happens to be a club not too far from you. The Natural Glass Corvette Association (NGCA) meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at Warnock Chevy in Morristown. We would love to have you stop by. Check out our web page www.naturalglasscorvette.com
I hope you get your car back too, but you can still come to a meeting without it. My engine is being rebuilt so I won't have mine for quite a while. The meetings start at 7:30PM in the service bay. Bring a folding chair.
